Earth Day Events in Omaha
For our Omaha SEO company that also specializes in digital marketing, if there’s anything we’re good at, it’s spreading information. As important as it is for us to promote other businesses, we also see a great need to spread the work of other great organizations in the Omaha Metro area!

Earth Day in Omaha
Earth Day has always been well celebrated in Omaha! Tomorrow the area will be buzzing with fun, family-friendly activities to raise awareness and get involved in a better, healthier and more sustainable environment!
Below is a short list of local events a few of our Omaha SEO team members were thinking of checking out! What events are you going to?
Party for the Planet at the Omaha Zoo
It’s safe to say that our office is full of Henry Doorly Zoo fans. But honestly, who isn’t?
On Saturday, head on down to the Wild Kingdom Pavilion from 9:00AM to 3:00PM to jam with the Omaha Street Percussion group and dispose of your unwanted EPS foam! Fun fact about Omaha Street Percussion - they perform an recycled trash cans and buckets! We saw them perform at Dundee Day last summer and can say with utmost certainty that their performance is super fun and interactive! 100% worth going to see!
Not only will this event be genuinely fun to attend, it’s a great way to get the little ones involved in caring for the planet at a young age!
Earth Day Championship at Hitchcock Nature Center
Hitchcock Nature Center is a hidden gem for our SEO company. Nestled in the Loess Hills just north of Crescent, Iowa, this park has views for miles.
Join these nature experts inside the learning center for a little education on litter and how it impacts our wildlife. You can also pack up the family to become an Earth Day Champion and help clean up the trails!
This event starts at 9:00AM, but allow a little extra time for travel! Traffic through Crescent, Iowa is a little more congested than usual due to flooding road closures in other areas.
Earth Day Community Cleanup
Keep Omaha Beautiful and Metropolitan Utilities District is teaming up at Adams Park Community Center on Saturday from 1:00PM - 3:00PM to clean up litter and engage in the community!
Great for all ages and an excellent opportunity for large groups to make an impact! If our Omaha SEO company has learned anything, it’s that volunteering as a team has added a little synergy to our environment!
Earth Day at home.
If Saturday hosts other plans for you, here are a few things you can do at home on a regular basis to make our Earth a little bit better each day.
-Stop using single-use plastics like water bottles, plastic grocery sacks and straws.
-Donate old clothes instead of throwing away. Consider purchasing thrift items.
-Use online documents as opposed to printed ones.
-Set your printer to two-sided printing.
-Support farmers who use organic ingredients.
What are some ways you’re working to make an impact?
